In lieu of a negative test, individuals may voluntarily submit a COVID-19 antibodies test or proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination accompanied by photo ID.
Hard Knox Vintage Jazz Weekend
March 31 - April 2
The annual swing music and dance festival, the School of Hard Knox, is returning this month to Knoxville, TN! Hard Knox is a weekend long celebration of vintage vernacular swing jazz. Participants travel from across America to our Scruffy little city to be a part of this recreation of music and dance. Evening dances are all open to the public and welcome to both seasoned dancers and first time beginners.

Dayton Swing Smackdown

It features over 9 hours of dancing, 13 hours of instruction, Solo Jazz Competition, Mix n Match Competition, and The Battle of the Swing Cities Team Routine Competition. Smackdown is now on it’s 15th year, and getting better with age. In addition to a dedication to providing a quality weekend, it is one of Smackdown’s core goals to be accessible to everyone, from the experienced dance community, to brand new dancers.

Brush away those end of winter blues and jump into some Balboa fun! This fun dance reaches back into the history of American Vernacular Jazz Dancing, and gives dancers a versatile way to dance to all kinds of jazz and swing music!
